CHROMATIC CIRCLE

Chromatic Circle

Chromatic circle is said to be the circular representation of colors. In a chromatic circle, colors are ordered in a rainbow sequence, the circle often being closed by a transition from red to purple via magenta.

On the other hand, a color circle is an abstract illustration of color hues around a circle, which shows the relationships between primary colors, secondary colors, and tertiary colors.

Color circles are mostly based on three primary colors (Red, Blue, and Yellow), three secondary colors (Orange, Purple, and Green) and the six intermediates (tertiary colors) that are formed by mixing a primary color with a secondary color.

This results in the color circle having twelve main divisions.

The chromatic circle can be represented with six colors, but it could be also twelve, as of twenty-four colors

Primary Colors of six:

1.   Red
2.   Blue
3.   Yellow

Secondary colors:

1.   Green: Blue + Yellow
2.   Orange: Red + Yellow
3.   Violet: Red + Blue
